SMOOTHIE FOR THE ROAD!!

Smoothies are the new bellinis!!!

From nutrient-packed vegetable based blends to fruit mixes, Smoothies are steadily taking over lifestyle changes today. Party planners are putting up more smoothie stalls at events than we can imagine.

A prefered alternative these days to having a drink at a bar or even after a workout, health consultants and dieticians have advised that having a daily intake of fruits and vegetables not only lower risk of diseases but they also help in managing a better-balanced diet and aid metabolism.

Whether you have a sweet tooth or are more of a vegetable person, finding a smoothie that suits your taste is very easy. A common mistake new smoothie converts make is to drown themselves in the same mix every time, thereby causing a boring palette. You can mix your favourite fruits with a nut punch if you want something grainy or keep it super green with a blend of Kale, spinach and other greens.

For those who are more 'mid-tempo' fruit takers and want a heavier, thicker consistency incorporating a low-fat yoghurt or healthy cream base will enrichen the smoothie and allow for a healthy dose of probiotics.
