In “The News” December 31st edition, the paper  described the bank as one that offers service as its differentiating edge, served in a convenient and clean environment and by professionally trained and courteous staff.

The paper noted that UBAL has a variety of attractive products which are targeted to improve the lives of its valuable customers. Those products are, Savings Account, U Care Account for children, No Halahala Loan and the Non Resident Account for Liberians residing in the Diaspora.

The Newspaper also commended the bank’s e-banking products. Which it described as “unbeatable” and are a source of convenience.  Under e-banking are the UBA Visa Prepaid Card which is internationally accepted, UBA Point of Sales, Africash and the latest being the introduction of the banks Visa Debit Liberian Dollar Card, the only Liberian Dollar Card in the country, which is secured by Visa.

“With its e-solution, UBAL has revolutionalised the banking system in Liberia making it the best among the rest.” The paper stated.

It also highlighted UBAL role as the lead arranger among three other banks in raising US$ 25 Million Medium Term Loan for businesses. This is the first ever syndicated loan in Liberia, seen as a confirmation of UBAL’s capacity and capability in supporting businesses in Liberia.
