UBA Ghana on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 presented
500 literature books to five Senior High Schools in the Ketu South District,
Accra.
Staff of UBA with staff and students of some the Senior High School that received the books.
The presentation,
which took place at the Ketu Municipal assembly was chaired by the Municipal
Director of Education, Mr. Fred Dunyo, and had in attendance, students from the
beneficiary schools.
The literature
books, written by Ama Ata Aidoo and titled ‘The Girl who Can’ were presented by
Mrs. Nelly Abotchie, Regional Director of UBA on behalf of the MD/CEO Mrs.
Abiola Bawuah.
Speaking during the
donation, Abotchie said the presentation
was part of the bank’s Read Africa project and encouraged the students to imbibe a savings culture and disciplined spending habit by getting UBA’s
prepaid card to take advantage of UBA’s Next Gen’s attractive interest rate to
open accounts with UBA.
Mr. Peter
Attisu, who represented the Honorable
Minister of Agriculture and Member of Parliament for the area Fiifi Fiave
Kwetey expressed his appreciation to UBA
and challenged the students to read more if they want to succeed in life.
