TRAVEL ESSENTIALS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

By the end of the first quarter of the year, many of us found ourselves postponing or cancelling travel plans to avoid getting or transmitting the virus. However, as lock-down eases in states and cities, new travel restrictions are being enforced by government authorities.

Here are some of the essential things everyone should pack when traveling during the pandemic outbreak:

1. Face Mask

Masks have already become mandatory. Have a few extra ones with you. Also carry along with masks, a few pairs of disposable gloves too.

2. A Packet of Disinfectant Wipes.

Disinfectant wipes are crucial since you’ll need to use them to clean the surfaces you’ll come in contact with like doorknobs, the back of the seat in front you, meal tray table, arm rests and every surface around you, and even your mobile phone.

3. Hand Sanitizers

Hand sanitizers are one of the best ways to keep your hands clean and save yourself from potential infection. A hand sanitizer gel is a superb substitute when there is no soap and water available. For effectiveness, scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Remember to keep pocket hand sanitizer in your hand luggage too.

4. Essential Gadgets

For effective communications, you will need to travel with your smartphone, tablet and laptop. At a time like this, staying in touch is key. Do not forget to carry your charger and portable power bank.

5. Travel Thermometer.

Not all persons show visible symptoms of the virus. Hence, a travel thermometer will help you keep tabs on your temperature.

Other basic items like Vitamins pills and a water bottle are essential. As regular traveling resumes, you must think carefully about all the things you should pack.
